Nobody on the planet loves to diet

Nobody on the planet loves to diet

Dieting is no fun, but Weight Watchers had a holiday deal and I signed up for the online version. I wanted to drop 10-12 pounds, and figured if I waited until after the holidays I’d be looking at losing more. I’m 3 weeks in and have 2 pounds to goal (YAY!!!). I am sitting here thinking how much I freaking hate eating chicken. I want peanut butter!! I admire all those who stick with it… especially when there’s more than 50 pounds involved. Either I don’t care enough or don’t have what it takes — 50 plus pounds translates to eating more dead poultry than I could stand to consume.

On a happier note — it’s SNOWING! First snow of the season and it’s barely (and I do mean barely) there — but I’m excited anyway. YIPPEE!!

snow - yippee

It’s almost a winter wonderland, you guys!

1st snow of the season

40 degrees colder

40 degrees colder

On Monday and Tuesday this week, in good ole’ Indiana, we had temps that hovered around 65 degrees. Yes, in February. Thunderstorms and a chance of tornados loomed in the forecast — and the thunderstorm panned out just fine. While I didn’t lose power, my son did.

Yesterday, I took this photo looking out from Coco’s room. It was exactly 40 degrees colder than it was at the same time the day before.

I do love snow…

snow!

I LOVE snow — the white fluffy kind. Six years ago today, we had it. Today, we don’t.

Today’s smile is brought to you by Gracie and a snow memory…

To the left is an example of me trying to have a conversation via text messages with Carl. I give all my hand-me-down gadgets to him and Mom… I guess I really am a glutton for punishment.

It only took me another 20 minutes to figure out that he was trying to tell me they like the essential oil diffuser that I gave Mom as one of her Christmas presents this year.

And… we finally have SNOW!!!

finally some snow!

Not much yet, and it’s not the fluffy snow I love, and the low is supposed to be only 9 degrees F this evening… but I still love SNOW! Yay!!!

snow photo tomorrow — maybe

snow photo tomorrow — maybe

I would so love about a foot of fluffy white snow with temperatures hovering around the freezing point. Mother Nature is supposed to give me snow tomorrow. About an inch with temps dipping into single digits. Yippie.

I made a Christmas centerpiece that I KNOW it’s time to dump — still, it’s beautiful even now. It still smells like pine and reminds me of the wonderful holiday enjoyed less than two weeks ago.
