No one else around here is a fan. Ben would rather have sushi or about any other Asian dish. Amber enjoys about anything that isn’t “normal” food that I grew up eating in the Ville. Coty likes Chinese best and Perry is a seafood dude. I’m always outnumbered when it comes to choosing a restaurant, so on my recent trip with my favorite brother — we ate steak. Every night. He even ate steak with eggs for breakfast. And the night I wasn’t with him? I ate steak with a friend who also likes steak. Not one grain of rice did I eat while in Phoenix or Vegas.
Funny thing I found out since I’ve been home… 2 of the eateries I loved — Modern Steak and Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar — are owned by the same parent company, FOX Restaurant Concepts. I found out before I got home that Modern Steak is one of the few upscale restaurants that even have rib eye cap on the menu. So yummy…
If you get to any location where you can visit either of these fabulous places — do it. Thank me later. Zinburger — get the Samburger and a glass of Educated Guess. Modern Steak — don’t miss the rib eye cap and sweet potato pie with burnt marshmallows. Trust me on this. I’m a butcher’s daughter.
