Finally celebrated Perry’s birthday yesterday because he finally had a day off. When inventory looms in retail stores, the whole “work life balance” thing is forgotten. Dude turned FIFTY and he had to cover a close shift on his special day. Two days post-birthday, he had cake… but we didn’t sing.
The Peskies showed up for cake and ice-cream and they’re the reason no singing took place. Carl was looking on his phone for the words to the song “Happy Birthday,” and Mom didn’t want to wait… she was in a big hurry for ice-cream. 😉
Dharma and Merida were ready to celebrate even without singing or a piece of cake. That’s the best thing about dogs. You can act like something really great just happened and they’ll instantly start celebrating with you. They have no idea what context is… they’re just always ready to party no matter what.
