The Pesky neighbors are typically in Bradenton, Florida, by this time of year enjoying sunshine and avoiding the winter temps of southern Indiana. Not this year… not yet anyway and maybe not until next year. It’s not that I want them to stay home — I want them to experience what makes them happy.
Still, I always like to see them. With the weather about to slam the west coast near their Florida area of choice I’m especially thrilled they’re MY pesky neighbors.
No evacuation planned.
I haven’t talked to either Mom or Carl yet this morning but I could guess what’s going on at their place with at least 90% accuracy. Mom is glued to the Weather Channel and Carl has already fixed breakfast and cleaned up the mess. He may have already talked to 10 or so people he knows that are in the areas about to be hit. 😉
It may be cold here in the Ville — especially at night — during these fall days, but there are no hurricanes in our forecast and we have blankets.
TIL (Today I Learned): Stevie Wonder not only composed, sang, wrote the lyrics and played keyboards on his song “Superstition,” he also played the bass part on a bass synthesizer and played the iconic drum part drum too after being inspired by guitarist Jeff Beck. The only part he didn’t play were the horns.
