As it stands right now, I’ll be singing tomorrow around 5:00 PM. Mr. Contractor says he’ll be done except for the back door upstairs. We had to special order a door for that space and it won’t be in until later in the week. Dude says it won’t take long to hang it and trim it out.
All the windows are done!
Not a big deal to actually have windows framed — except when you have windows with paper around them. I’ve even started hanging up a few things in the finished room that still stinks.
Merida was unimpressed…
What do normal old people do in the evenings?
It’s been so long since I’ve had “normal,” that when all this is finished I’m not sure I’ll know what to do with myself. There will be days and evenings where I’ll have Ben and Coco — and others where Katie and Charlie will visit and we’ll have a fire in the Solo stove and smash burgers on the grill. But what about the other days and nights?
I don’t watch a whole lot of TV. We’ll watch a movie every now and again, I’ll watch a series while walking on the treadmill, and I fall asleep to serial killer shows every night. Other than that, nothing. I don’t read a lot. Instead, I listen to audiobooks while doing other things. I’m at a loss.
I guess I’ll let y’all know once I figure it out… and if you have suggestions, please pass them my way.
