i’m embracing a growth mindset and practicing adaptability

That title right there? It means my floor project sort of went of the rails. The title contains two effective strategies to help one navigate change more effectively.

I found that it’s important to seal the concrete after dye or it scratches off when moving heavy furniture across it.

  1. Growth mindset: Change is an opportunity for learning. Learn from setbacks to acquire new skills and knowledge. I did that… and I shared it with you.
  2. Practice adaptability: Be willing to adjust to new circumstances, and be willing to try new approaches. I did that, and I shared it with you.

Just suck it up and seal the darned concrete. 🙂

No photos to share since little visual progress was made. The only thing visual is my posture as my back isn’t made for doing this project alone. I touched up what I screwed up and sealed what I have done so far. Applying the sealant is more difficult than applying dye.

You may also apply the above 2 techniques when the weather changes.

There was a heavy frost yesterday and some claimed to have seen snow. I didn’t… but my body was bent over a floor with a paint roller.

The Seymour house is for sale.

The house I called home for 10 years is back on the market. The sellers have been there for just a year but made a lot of changes. Photos and my useless commentary is on shelleyerwin.com.

Now you know: The idea that people distribute poisoned candy on Halloween is a myth. There has never been a confirmed case of strangers injuring or killing children in this way, though some parents who have killed their children have tried to use it as a way to cover up their crimes.
