Before being taken into the operating room when having a procedure such as the one I had yesterday, they have you change into a gown and hook you up to monitors first thing. The surgeon then comes in and marks the areas to be removed. I had two places on my shoulder — one was very small — but there were 3 bumps. He asked me which one was the spot he was to remove and I pointed to where I thought it was. He marked a big purple circle around it.
A couple minutes later, he came back laughing while holding photos from my dermatologist and looked at my shoulder again. I had pointed out — and he had circled — a recent mosquito bite.
You have no idea how much you use your forehead until it’s sore.

That teeny tiny spot on my forehead is the worst. My shoulder may look like I’ve been attacked by a bear, but everything I do — from smiling to eating and everything in between — my forehead moves. It is stitched and my shoulder is glued. Glue is better.
MRI for Mr. Pesky today.
Mr. Pesky’s MRI is today in Greenwood. Since I had my procedure yesterday, he found another relative to take him there. He doesn’t have to be there until 2:30 and I think he told me they were leaving at noon. Good thing I’m not the driver… we’d leave at 1:45 and drive 80mph to get there on time. 😉
Instead, I’m going to take it easy. My puppies had two days in a row without me being around much and they are sticking to me like glue balls.

Now you know: Simpsons creator, Matt Groening, was born to Homer and Marge Groening, and two of his siblings are called Maggie and Lisa.
