Since the pandemic, I spend about 95% of the time all by myself. Except for the dogs — they’re always with me. But it gets pretty darned boring just the same. As time goes by; however, I’m getting more and more accustomed to it. If others are like me in that regard… it might not be a good thing.
Here’s what I mean… yesterday, I had to take my niece (who is not really a niece) to the north side of Indy for a COVID test. She has knee surgery on this upcoming Tuesday. But after her surgery on Tuesday, she’s going to stay with me until Friday when her man gets home.
You’d think I’d welcome the company. But I’ve become accustomed to only taking care of myself and 2 hound dogs. If others are like me… the entire world might not be as social as before the pandemic.
Since the pandemic, I’ve also gained about 15 pounds. No one sees me anyway, so I’ve been cooking like Betty Crocker — even frying chicken with my Marion-Kay spices ordered online. The ‘dominant one’ seasoning, the ‘sea salt and peppa’ and the coating for chicken are favorites, along with the old chili mix standby that I can’t go a winter without.
But the diet and exercise started on Monday and I’m now up only 10 pounds. No one even knows I gained or lost except for me… and now you…
Anyone want to take bets on if we will have a shutdown? Or if the states and business requiring masks will get this under control?
